From Competitor Crawl to a 34-Page SEO Content Plan
Truck Maintenance offered far more services than its website represented.
Rechkemmer Marketing used competitor intelligence, keyword research, existing rankings, and business relevance to turn that gap into a prioritized 34-page SEO content roadmap.
Client Overview
Client: Truck Maintenance
Industry: Diesel Truck Repair & Fleet Maintenance
Market: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Project: SEO Content Strategy / Website Content Mapping
Deliverable: 34-Page SEO Content Roadmap
Truck Maintenance provides diesel truck repair, fleet maintenance, roadside support, trailer repair, equipment repair, and brand-specific service work.
The opportunity wasn't to invent new services...
It was to make sure the website reflected the services the business already had the ability to sell.
The Challenge
The Website Didn't Reflect Everything the Business Could Sell
Customers search for specific truck repair needs—not just “diesel repair.”
That includes services like mobile truck repair, DPF repair, trailer repair, DOT inspections, fleet maintenance, and brand-specific repairs.
Truck Maintenance offered many of these services, but the website lacked dedicated pages for them.
The question wasn’t what to write about. It was which pages deserved to exist.
The project needed a repeatable, evidence-based way to decide.
We Started With the Competitive Landscape
I started by looking at how a leading Dallas truck-repair competitor structured its website.
Their navigation immediately revealed dozens of dedicated pages covering specific repair services, equipment types, and truck brands.
Using Screaming Frog, I crawled the site and turned that structure into a complete inventory of 45 service and brand-page opportunities worth investigating.
The goal wasn’t to copy the competitor. It was to use their website as market intelligence.
45 Pages Worth Investigating
SERVICE + BRAND PAGES IDENTIFIED
The crawl uncovered opportunities across three main categories:
-
Core Services
-
Repair Needs
-
Truck Brands

But competitor coverage alone wasn’t enough to justify creating a page.
The competitor wasn’t the blueprint. It was market intelligence.
Each opportunity still needed to be validated against search demand, Truck Maintenance’s actual services, existing rankings, and commercial relevance.
The Strategy
Competitor Pages Were the Starting Point—Not the Strategy
A competitor can publish a page for any number of reasons.
That doesn't mean:
- people are searching for it,
- Truck Maintenance provides the service,
- the page has commercial value,
- or it deserves priority.
So each opportunity moved through a second layer of validation.
The Validation Framework
01 — Competitor Coverage
Does a strong competitor treat the service as important enough to deserve its own page?
↓
02 — Search Demand
Are customers actively searching for the service?
↓
03 — Existing Rankings
Does Truck Maintenance already have some visibility that could be strengthened?
↓
04 — Actual Services
Does the company genuinely provide the service?
↓
05 — Commercial Relevance
Could the search realistically lead to valuable repair or maintenance work?
↓
06 — Priority
Where should the opportunity sit within the website roadmap?
This changed the project from competitor research into content strategy.
We Validated the Opportunities Against Real Search Demand
Keyword research confirmed meaningful demand around many of the services uncovered during the competitor crawl.

Average monthly search-demand estimates from the underlying keyword research.
Search demand was then combined with rankings, service fit, and commercial relevance to determine which opportunities belonged in the final roadmap.
The Result: A 34-Page SEO Roadmap
The final research was turned into a prioritized website expansion plan containing:
34
SERVICE + BRAND PAGE OPPORTUNITIES
Each page recommendation includes the information needed to move from research to implementation:
- Page Type — the role the page should serve
- Recommended URL — where it should live within the site
- Primary Keyword — the main search intent to target
- Search Demand — estimated demand behind the opportunity
- Current Ranking — existing visibility, where applicable
- Business Rationale — why the page makes sense commercially
- Priority — when it should be built
This turned a broad set of competitor and keyword findings into a clear answer to a much more useful question:
What should Truck Maintenance build next?
The result is more than a keyword list. It is a roadmap for expanding the website around services with demonstrated search demand and real business relevance.
